Fauvism, a 20th century experimental art movement, was pioneered by artists like Matisse, Derain and Vlaminck in France. They were reacting to the popular Impressionists. A critic named them ‘The Fauves’ or Wild Beasts. Their trademarks are bright colors and a loose brush. Join us as we learn more about the movement and try our hand at this exciting style of painting.
